Lawrenceville, Ga. (September 4, 2018) – Gwinnett Medical Center (GMC), one of the Southeast’s leading providers of comprehensive healthcare services, has been recognized in a national study as one of America’s 25 best hospitals for which to work.
Commissioned by Indeed.com, the world’s top job search engines with more than 200 million unique visitors each month, the survey analyzed data from more than 72 million ratings and reviews by employees – past and present – in hospitals and healthcare systems across the nation. GMC was rated as 19th best and was one of only two in Georgia to earn a spot in the top 25.
“We have a dedicated staff of professionals at every level in Gwinnett Medical Center who devote their lives to providing world-class care for our patients,” said President and CEO Philip R. Wolfe. “That can’t be accomplished without great teamwork and camaraderie, which we have in abundance.
“It all combines to provide a strong record of positive patient outcomes, which is our greatest reward and the primary reason GMC is one of the best places to work anywhere in the healthcare industry.”
In developing its rankings, Indeed considered information gleaned from over two years’ worth of employee submitted data. Study authors noted that the ranked institutions excelled in maintaining an environment in which management is supportive, professional growth is fostered, and employees exhibit consistently positive attitudes.
In addition, all of the hospitals on Indeed’s top-rated list have affiliations with colleges and universities to support and train future health care professionals, an area in which GMC excels and has experienced significant growth in recent years.
“We are truly humbled to have made it onto Indeed’s list of the best places to work and hope to build on the noted successes and achieve an even higher rankings in the years ahead,” Wolfe concluded.
